Who snitched on Big Meech? The answer is Omari ‘O-Dog’ McCree and William ‘Doc’ Marshall. They both leaked sensitive information to the police, eventually helping them build a case against Big Meech and Southwest T.
At the peak of their drug operations, the Black Mafia Family sold drugs in eleven American States. Not even a split up between Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory and his brother, Lee ‘Southwest T’ Flenory, could topple their huge drug empire. The brother duo started slinging drugs as high school students and gradually set up a drug kingdom that bagged them $270 million as profit.
The internal rift among brothers and a series of blunders alerted and activated the police. The police proved successful in turning felons into informants, and Big Meech pleaded guilty to drug charges and got 30 years imprisonment sentence. Lee ‘SouthWest T’ Flenory met the same fate.
One of those treacherous felons who snitched Big Meech was Omari ‘O-Dog’ McCree; Dexter ‘Sosa’ Hussey, a former Black Mafia Family member, once told DJ Vlad (American Director) that McCree secretly told the federal police that Big Meech supplied him with cocaine. Blue Davinci (rapper) told DJ Vlad that McCree leaked out sensitive operation about Big Meech’s operation. Though he decided not to testify at trial, the damage was already done! Blue said that the information he gave would help his time cut.
Sosa Hussey also unveiled another traitor, William Doc Marshall, who snitched on Big Meech. ”Oh my God, he (Marshall) was the worst,” Sosa told DJ Vlad. Sosa was the ‘pigeon’ between two brothers after they fell out. His role of communication put him at the center of the Black Mafia Family’s drug operations as SouthWest T was responsible for the supplies from Mexican Cartels, and Big Meech managed distribution. Marshall’s compliance with fed authorities ultimately forced Big Meech and Southwest T to cop pleas on the morning of their trial in November 2007.
Who are Omari McCree and William Marshall, and how do they serve BMF?
Omari McCree was a regular supplier of multi-kilogram cocaine orders to local dealers, according to police wiretaps. He was a high-level distributor for the Black Mafia Family (BMF) and was very close to Big Meech. Marshall was only an eyewitness to many drug exchanges, but police couldn’t determine whether he had any direct dealings with BMF or not.
Where are Omri McCree and William Marshall now?
Omari was released on parole after getting a five-year reduction on his 15-year sentence. As of now, there is no information available on his whereabouts. William Marshall died of a cocaine overdose while in Westland Jail. He started having a seizure about an hour after his arrest but the paramedical staff and officers on duty refused to help him. He was arrested for possession of cocaine and marijuana. The jail staff unsuccessfully tried to resuscitate him when they found him dead. The court ordered Wayne County to pay the Marshall Family $3.75 million for his wrongful death caused by police negligence.
Did Rapper T.I snitch Big Meech?
Big Meech has come forward to defend T.I. against allegations of snitching. In a letter to the website Straight From The A, Big Meech wrote:
“I have a problem with people assassinate a real stand up dude character, namely T.I., talking about he a ‘SNITCH’ when we are living in the information era, and there is absolutely no public record of this man being a ‘SNITCH.’”
After three years of reduction in sentence, Big Meech is set to release in 2028
All BMF participants who were imprisoned have been released, except for Big Meech and Fleming ‘III’ Daniels. Big Meech’s lawyer, Brittany Barnett, requested a concession in his sentence due to the non-violent nature of his crimes and his rehabilitation commitment. After reviewing the sentencing guidelines, the court accepted the filing and reduced the sentence from 360 months to 324 months.
This is not the first time that Big Meech has attempted to get a sentence reduction. In February 21, he argued that he qualifies for early release because there is a risk of him dying due to coronavirus while being in prison. He had the support of many politicians and celebrities, but authorities didn’t consider his request.
Thanks to the guys who snitched Big Meech, He is a good guy now.
Big Meech has gone through an amazing positive transformation in jail. He has completed his GED and took full courses in parenting, health awareness, and money management. Another highly appreciable step is to rebrand BMF as ‘Building More Families,’ a community-building organization. However, prosecutors opposed his compassionate release and cited his disciplinary record violations: He had used intoxicants, illegally kept a cell phone, possessed a small piece of razor, and spent time in solitary confinement. Meech’s lawyer, Wade Fink, spoke with The Detroit News: ” I attribute much of that to the shameful behavior of certain prosecutors in this case, who have made my client into a box-office-type monster.
Southwest T has been much luckier than his brother
SouthWest T has been much luckier than his brother, Big Meech, in getting a sentence reduction. Judge Avern Cohn granted him a six-year sentence reduction before authorities blessed him with a compassionate release due to the coronavirus. He will complete his sentence under house arrest.
